<p>Education and experience (requirements)</p> <ul> <li>A High School diploma or GED is required.  A bachelor’s or master’s degree in safety, Environmental Health, Chemistry, or related field, is preferred. </li><li>Must have 7+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment, required.  Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred. </li><li>Must have prior experience managing effective EHS programs with positive results.   </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of appropriate regulations (federal, state, county, city and institutional) regarding food processing operations. </li><li>Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, ISO 22000, ISO 14001 requirements. </li><li>Good problem-solving techniques including knowledge of LEAN and/or Six Sigma methodologies. </li><li>Proven success managing within a team-oriented environment. </li><li>Effective training techniques to wide ranging audiences. </li><li>Ability to work within a union plant. </li><li>Entrepreneurial and hands-on; committed to innovation and moving beyond the norm. </li><li>Self-starter who takes the initiative, and a driver of results. </li><li>Personable, collaborative, and passionate about their work. </li><li>Organized and detail oriented. </li><li>Highest level of integrity and ethics </li><li>Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.  Work schedules could include nights and weekends as business needs dictate.  </li></ul>
