<p>Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), is a global leader in the building materials industry. We've been around since 1917. We are looking for an EHS Manager to join our team in our Franklin Park, IL location. The Site EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring our site is compliant with applicable CCM environment, health and safety policies and procedures. The specific reporting structure, department, classification, and additional non-safety related duties of this role all vary by plant and CCM Division.</p> <p>Pay Range: $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 (Actual salary could be greater based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.)</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and possibly administer safety training for employees (including sales personnel, office, etc.) </li><li>Ensure timely accident/incident investigations and ensure timely reporting to plant management </li><li>Maintain site's emergency action plan(s) </li><li>Manage compliance of facility environmental permits (air, stormwater) </li><li>Manage waste activities (hazardous and non-hazardous) and the facility recycling program </li><li>OSHA PSM and EPA RMP experience </li><li>ISO 14001 experience </li><li>Coordinate site's confined space, lockout, respiratory and hearing programs </li><li>Schedule, lead, and be actively involved in safety committee meetings </li><li>Maintain and manage a master list of environmental, health and safety corrective actions generated from the site's EH&S process </li><li>Conduct the annual review of site-specific EH&S safety policies and update them as needed </li><li>Maintain Hazcom requirements and keep SDS data current </li><li>Coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys as required (air, noise, ergonomics, etc.) </li><li>Ensure that potential EH&S aspects (chemical, guarding, LOTO, fall, confined space, ergonomic, noise...) are reviewed for all new processes, materials, and equipment before use </li><li>Coordinate the site's mobile equipment program </li><li>Coordinate site's new employee and temporary labor safety on-boarding training </li><li>Participate in safety condition walks and help administer any safe behavior observations </li><li>Participate in other CCM EH&S initiatives and programs and/or coordinate key element of any safety process that is specific to the facility such as process safety management PSM </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to adapt to any CCM policy and OSHA training </li><li>First Aid/CPR/AED certified </li><li>Experience with computers and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite </li><li>Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required </li><li>Prior experience interacting with coworkers at all levels from shop floor to Plant Managers </li><li>Ability to act in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment </li><li>Prior leadership experience and ability to motivate employees </li><li>Comfortable with presenting effectively in front of small and large groups </li><li>Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in environmental health safety or engineering strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years of managing EHS preferred. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>This position conducts its work in a manufacturing environment with normal to elevated temperatures and humidity range. Atmosphere may contain fumes, odors, fiberglass, dust, gas and poor ventilation. Typical shift is Monday through Friday with the occasional Saturday or Sunday if a crisis occurs in the plant. </li></ul> <p>#LI-JS1</p>
