<p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>The Citadel's Department of Intelligence and Security Studies is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time teaching positions for undergraduate and/or graduate positions. Courses are offered during the day and online throughout the academic year (fall, spring, and summer). All adjunct positions are per session appointments.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Abiding by and upholding the Citadel's mission, policies, and core values. </li><li>Utilizing effective teaching and learning practices such as presentations, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate modes of instructional delivery. </li><li>Preparing course outlines and syllabi in accordance with program standards and in collaboration with the program coordinator. </li><li>Completing student assessments required for program completion. </li><li>Meeting all scheduled class periods, being available to students for individual consultations, submitting grades by the specified due date. </li><li>The Citadel requires faculty to submit midterm grades for undergraduate students as well as utilize the Attendance and Class Absence System for undergraduate students. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree is required to teach graduate courses and a Master's degree is required to teach undergraduate courses. </li><li>Three years teaching experience at the elementary, middle grades, secondary, and/or college level. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills. </li><li>Experience in designing courses and materials. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the online application, please provide a cover letter and CV.</p>
