<p>The School of Education oversees the university's educator preparation program (EPP). The EPP is multifaceted and provides many services and programming in the area of teacher education. The overarching goal of the School of Education is to prepare students for careers in education.</p> <p>Primary Purpose of Position</p> <p>The primary purpose of the Campus and Community Coordinator is to serve as the central connector between the IPSE program, the university, and the surrounding community by developing and sustaining inclusive partnerships that support student engagement, learning, and career development. This position facilitates meaningful access for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to campus life, academic enrichment, community-based learning, and employment opportunities, while promoting inclusive practices across campus and among community partners. Through coordination, advocacy, and relationship building,</p> <p>the Campus and Community Coordinator ensures that student experiences extend beyond the program itself and are fully integrated into authentic campus and community environments aligned with individual goals and program outcomes.</p> <p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to initiate, build, and sustain collaborative relationships across campus units and external community partners to support inclusive postsecondary education. </li><li>Ability to support meaningful inclusion of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in campus life and community settings using person-centered and strengths-based practices. </li><li>Ability to organize, coordinate, and implement campus- and community-based activities that support program outcomes in education, employment, and independent living. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and advocate for inclusive practices within higher education and community environments. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education/Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related field </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to working and serving students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. </li><li>Relevant experience working in engagement, coordination, community partnerships, or student services in higher education or nonprofit/community settings.
