Our culture fosters creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning to position our team members to inspire each other and provide quality products and supporting services that exceed the expectations of our customers.</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer - MBSE to join our team.</p> <p>The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and updating a comprehensive digital model of the propulsion system that serves as the "authoritative source of truth" (ASOT) for both internal and external stakeholders. Model-Based System Engineering techniques to build the digital model which will then be used to assess system performance relative to requirements, conduct trade studies, and communicate design status to stakeholders. The digital model will continue to evolve with the product through manufacturing, development, and production, utilizing data from each phase of the product life cycle to provide value to the organization and customer. The model will comprise a wide range of inputs involving a multitude of technical disciplines and business units such that both product performance and life cycle value stream can be assessed.</p> <p>The Systems Engineer - MBSE responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Integrate and implement the systems engineering process for turbine-based propulsion systems and the interfacing aircraft systems, including defining requirements, performing analyses, and tracking reliability, hazards and risk management for the lifecycle of the assigned program </li><li>Conduct system safety analysis including fault tree creation, system hazard analysis, FMEA and FMECA generation, reliability disciplines and failure investigations </li><li>Work with cross functional engineering teams to organize data and information in accordance customer requirements and Williams best practices </li><li>Substantiate and inform design decisions for technical leadership </li><li>Define and track system, subsystem and component verification and validation </li><li>Work closely with the Program Management team to collaborate with the customer throughout the project. </li><li>Produce timely customer-defined data packages at regular intervals </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) </li><li>5+ years of technical experience within Systems Engineering </li><li>Broad technical knowledge base of turbine engines or airframe technology </li><li>Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, including deriving requirements into actionable steps </li><li>Experience with FMEA, FMECA or Fault Tree Analysis </li><li>Familiarity with Electronics or Software systems </li><li>Demonstrates ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships across the organization. </li><li>Demonstrates interpersonal skills with effective negotiation and conflict-resolution experience </li><li>Demonstrates organizational skills and ability to produce a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail </li><li>Possesses written communication skills and proficiency in document preparation </li><li>Familiarity with commercial standards (SAE ARP 4754, SAE ARP 4761, DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 certification) and the equivalent military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-882, etc.) </li><li>U. S. citizenship is required </li><li>Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
