<p>The U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) is a 34,000-acre facility located near Clay Center, NE. The work performed at USMARC supports research that is focused on solving high priority problems for the U.S. beef cattle, sheep, and swine industries.</p> <p>As a Swine Unit Hand, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Be responsible for care of livestock to include feeding, artificial insemination, heat checking, observation and treatment of swine population. </li><li>Perform building and equipment maintenance in the swine facilities and the sanitation of swine facilities. </li><li>Calibrate feeders in swine areas and collect research data. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>This position requires some evening and weekend hours and work in inclement weather.
