<p>TITLE: General Labor</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor</p> <p>EXEMPTION STATUS: Union UAW - Hourly</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: Final build for transportation seating products.</p> <p>PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Reads and comprehends blueprints, instructions and follows all established procedures. </li><li>Verifies all material and equipment needed is available to begin the process. </li><li>Takes measurements to ensure perfect fit of components. </li><li>Selects or modifies components according to measurements and specifications. </li><li>Aligns material and puts together parts to build complex seating units. </li><li>Perform all necessary system transactions. </li><li>Ensure all products meet quality standards. </li><li>Maintains equipment and workspace in good condition. </li><li>Inputs production quantities and time data into ERP. </li><li>Reports on issues, malfunction, or defective parts. </li><li>Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>1+ years of relevant experience </li></ul> <p>SKILLS & ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings, engineer grade tape measures (includes decimals) etc. </li><li>Ability to use tools: </li><li>Power air tools, clamps, battery powered drills, impact wrenches. </li><li>Drill press. </li><li>Simple tooling set up. </li><li>Good understanding of quality control principles. </li><li>Good communication skills (verbal and written). </li><li>Ability to work with fiberglass. </li><li>Ability to work regular schedules set forth by the Management team. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Standing for entire shift. </li><li>Able to lift up to 40 pounds. </li><li>Exposure to metal dust and fiberglass. </li><li>Repetitive arm/hand motions. </li><li>Able to twist, bend, stoop as needed. </li><li>Safety glasses are required. </li></ul>
