If you're looking for a fast-paced career where every day is different, we invite you to join our team as an Account Executive who is ready to build relationships and help power our local economy through creative and effective marketing solutions.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Account Executive works collaboratively with the Media Marketing Team to support KOMU 8's unique mission by engaging with existing and prospective clients throughout Mid-Missouri.</p> <p>In this role, you'll help local businesses grow by delivering compelling, customized advertising solutions across both broadcast and digital platforms. These solutions include streaming video, SEO/SEM, social media strategies, digital display, email targeting, and traditional television advertising.</p> <p>We're looking for a solutions-based, consultative seller with strong sales and marketing skills who can develop ideas that drive measurable results for new and existing clients.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual broadcast and digital sales goals </li><li>Maximize share of business from an assigned list of local and regional accounts </li><li>Develop new revenue through proactive prospecting and relationship-building </li><li>Establish and maintain credible relationships within the local business community </li><li>Collaborate on the creative development of campaigns, including needs analysis, messaging, and production support </li><li>Review and analyze performance metrics to ensure client goals are met or exceeded, with a focus on retention and upsell opportunities </li></ul> <p>Ideal Candidate</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, think creatively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while growing both revenue and market share.</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of two years of sales experience, preferably in media, digital marketing, or advertising </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Strategic Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience </li><li>Working knowledge of digital marketing solutions including display advertising, email marketing, social and content marketing, SEM, SEO, and streaming video </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint </li><li>Ability to engage in meaningful, consultative conversations with business owners and decision-makers </li></ul> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>Base Salary: $6,000.00 per year plus commissions</p> <p>Total Estimated Annual Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00</p> <p>Grade: MKT</p> <p>University Title: Account Executive</p> <p>Internal applicants can determine their University title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.</p> <p>Application Materials</p> <p>Resume and Cover Letter</p> <p>Benefit Eligibility</p> <p>This position is eligible for University benefits.
