<p>As Tesla continues to vertically integrate our operations,?Tesla's Cell Facilities Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated?Sr. Controls Engineer to work on a critical challenge facing the world's energy transition to sustainable energy. Sustaining, operating, and optimizing a first-of-a-kind battery facility.</p> <p>As a Sr. Controls Engineer, you will?work closely with the design team, construction & commissioning team supporting?projects from concept through design, installation, integration, ramp up, and long-term operations, sustainability & operations.</p> <ul> <li>Lead SCADA HMI architecture design including the integration PLCs, life safety systems, and building management systems </li><li>Lead the development of greenfield HMI and user interfaces include remote and local operation displays </li><li>Work closely with the process design and facilities operation teams to develop intuitive KPI metrics and visualizations for production, maintenance, engineering and management </li><li>Deploy, troubleshoot and commission local display hardware and remote access platforms </li><li>Develop plant-wide supervisory systems?to minimize unplanned downtime and centralize plant performance monitoring. </li><li>Available to travel for FAT and equipment installation and commissioning </li><li>4+ years?as a control systems engineer working with BMS and Ignition SCADA systems </li><li>Additional experience working with additional PLC platforms: Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, Omron </li><li>Experience working with modern communication protocols: Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, OPC </li><li>Evidence of exceptional ability, including a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and demonstrated ability to leverage this understanding to solve challenging technical problems. </li><li>Demonstrated?experience in the execution of?controls?projects from concept development through commissioning and ramp-up </li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting a running production facility </li></ul>
