We are hiring a Pre-Construction Specialist in our Estimating Support Team.</p> <p>A Preconstruction Specialist plays a critical role in shaping the success of our projects before they ever break ground. This position supports early-phase planning and coordination efforts. The Preconstruction Specialist will aid in bid preparation by performing quality take-offs, assisting with mechanical design and drafting, and coordinating documentation and communication between departments.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>You'll be the liaison between Sales, Estimating, and Engineering. Your day will include:</p> <ul> <li>Perform Document Controls for Preconstruction & Estimating projects to DCI Standards. </li><li>Review Plans and Specifications for projects to bid and review scope of work. </li><li>Provide accurate mechanical quantity take-offs and assist in bid preparation. </li><li>Provide accurate take-off as required for any Bulletins, Change Request, Field Orders, etc. on existing projects as requested by Project Managers or Estimators. </li><li>Prepare Awarded Projects for turnover to Dee Cramer Operations Team </li><li>Assist in process improvement initiatives. </li><li>Support Engineering team as required, including but not limited to: Project Setup, HVAC System Design, Revit modeling, drafting, and design. </li><li>Coordinate between estimating and engineering teams to ensure alignment. </li><li>Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering sessions. </li><li>Assist in setting up and maintaining project environments. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <p>We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Proficiency in Autodesk Revit</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Bluebeam Revu preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in any of the Industry Standard HVAC Load Calculation Software (Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP) preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, HVAC, related field or equivalent experience</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience in mechanical construction, estimating, or engineering/design support</p> </li><li> <p>In lieu of a degree, candidates may qualify with practical relevant experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Dee Cramer?</p> <p>As a third generation, family-owned company founded in 1937, we've spent nearly a century building a reputation rooted in craftsmanship, integrity, and genuine care for people.
