The candidate should be experienced with ACTFL standards-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment methods, as well as culturally responsive pedagogy appropriate for middle school learners.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (list not all-inclusive)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensure the social, emotional, and academic development and safety of all students.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and deliver standards-aligned Spanish instruction using ACTFL-based curriculum and assessment strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and reinforce clear classroom expectations and routines that promote student independence and positive behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>Design and implement student-centered lessons and assessments to meet the needs of all learners, including small group and individual instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate grading records and communicate student progress to parents regularly through reports and conferences.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in collaborative meetings, including PPTs, faculty/department meetings, and professional learning opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a positive, culturally responsive classroom and school environment that supports open communication and ethical behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the selection of instructional materials and continuously refine teaching practices to enhance student learning.</p> </li></ul> <p>To be considered for this position, candidates must complete the online application and upload the following documents:</p> <ul> <li>resume </li><li>cover letter </li><li>copy of your CT Teaching certificate </li><li>undergraduate and graduate transcripts </li><li>at least two recent signed letters of reference. </li></ul> <p>Brookfield Public Schools is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment.
