<p>Department</p> <p>VH SBIRT COUNS & REF SERV - 206161</p> <p>Worker Sub Type</p> <p>Per Diem</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The SBIRT Clinician will work with an integrated team of professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and on-site behavioral health staff. SBIRT refers to Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment. It is an evidenced-based practice used to identify, reduce & prevent problematic alcohol and drug use. We are seeking a collaborative, energetic, team-oriented, creative individual to provide substance use and mental health screenings, brief intervention, brief therapy, and referral to services for adult patients at Winchester Medical Center. The SBIRT Clinician will assess patients' behavioral health needs and will provide brief intervention in the Emergency Department and other hospital departments, will provide brief therapy (e.g., 4-6 sessions) for patients in need of additional support, and will refer patients who need more intensive treatment to local resources. The SBIRT Clinician will enhance behavioral health integration into Winchester Medical Center, and will ensure that the mission and health care goals of collaboration are effectively integrated into the health care system.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Bachelor's or Master's degree in behavioral health field required</p> <p>Certification & Licensures</p> <p>Bachelor's Level Candidates-- CSAC or CADC or equivalent preferred</p> <p>Masters Level Candidates- State licensure in Behavioral Health preferred. If Unlicensed, obtaining supervision hours towards licensure as a LCSW, LPC, LSATP, CAADC or Licensed Psychologist ,required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Demonstrated strengths of personal integrity, self-confidence required</p> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills required</p> <p>Prior academic or practical training in motivational interviewing, cognitive- behavioral therapy or Brief Therapy/Crisis Intervention, preferred.</p> <p>Experience working in a medical setting preferred Experience working with electronic health records preferred</p> <p>Ability to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends required</p> <p>FLSA Classification</p> <p>Non-exempt</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>18 A Mental Health Associate, Counsellor, Therapist</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>At Valley Health, we believe everyone is a caregiver, and our goal is to create an environment where our caregivers thrive physically, financially, and emotionally.
