We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Division of Neuropsychiatry and Neuromodulation at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School is recruiting a TMS Mental Health Specialist (MHS) to join our interdisciplinary group and provide exceptional care to our patients in the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Clinical Service. The TMS Clinical Service provides non-invasive neuromodulation treatments to patients suffering from treatment-resistant neuropsychiatric conditions, including major depressive disorder (MDD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and others. Reporting to the practice manager and the medical director, the MHS will be an integral member of the clinical care team, working together with attendings, fellows, residents, and administrators to provide superior care to our patient population and the community we serve, learning unique innovative skills (including advanced TMS neuromodulation and stereotactic neuronavigation), and working in a highly innovative clinical-research environment.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <p>High School Diploma or Equivalent required</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred</p> <p>Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?</p> <p>No</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>related experience 0-1 year preferred</p> <p>The MHS's responsibilities will include but are not limited to:</p> <p>Assists with meeting patient direct care and comfort needs (i.e., assists with basic ADL's and takes vital signs).</p> <p>Responds to patient and family requests..</p> <p>Monitors patients for safety and reports changes immediately to the clinical staff.</p> <p>Accurate and timely documentation of patient information.</p> <p>Participates in efforts to problem solve and respond to psychosocial needs of patients and families.</p> <p>Provides helpful resources to the patient and supports as indicated.</p> <p>Maintains patient confidentiality.</p> <p>Communicates in a respectful manner.</p> <p>Meets with patients daily to provide therapeutic TMS and supportive counseling.</p> <p>Administer TMS and tDCS treatments to patients (after appropriate training and internal certification).</p> <p>Uses stereotactic neuronavigation software to identify target brain regions</p> <p>Assist psychiatrist in the dosing procedures (i.e., motor threshold).</p> <p>Manage the clinic schedule and patient appointments.</p> <p>Create and maintain electronic health records.</p> <p>Assist patients with the completion of intake interviews with facilities, including administration of self-report clinical measures to assess patient status and progress.</p> <p>Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings, i.e., weekly clinical rounds to discuss new and existing patients.</p> <p>Other general tasks and responsibilities, as needed.</p> <p>Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries.</p> <p>Identifies patient behaviors that contribute to the development of a crisis;
