To accomplish this mission, we are committed to attracting and retaining the best talent and an engaged, and thriving workforce that drives a sustainable future for our company and society.</p> <p>Working at IPG Photonics you can expect challenging projects, a motivating and friendly environment, and competitive benefits.</p> <p>Intern will assist with the following duties under direct supervision of IPG Medical production and research personnel:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct laboratory experiments with prototypes of medical products, light-tissue interaction and diagnostics </li><li>Collect experimental data from laboratory experiments and summarize results in test reports </li><li>Set up, carry out and generate reports of experiments, troubleshooting, and manufacturing testing of medical device products </li><li>Perform inspection of medical components </li><li>Monitor and manipulate the instruments and processes being used to test medical device products, including assembling, calibrating, improving, and performing maintenance on test equipment </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas </li><li>Organize lab facilities, paper and electronic records </li></ul> <p>Skills Desired:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to use lab equipment, such as, e.g., PCB soldering stations, wire cutters/strippers, screwdrivers, tape measure, wrenches and other small hand tools </li><li>Ability to move and lift components weighing 20 lbs. maximum </li></ul> <p>Education Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>You must be a student currently enrolled in a program directly related to our business operations at an accredited college or university </li></ul> <p>Personal Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Attention to detail and consistent follow-through on assigned tasks </li><li>Must be analytical, observant, patient and communicative when it comes to the precise nature of their work </li><li>Works well in a team environment and as an individual contributor </li><li>Have the ability to work a consistent schedule during our business hours </li><li>Maintain courteous and professional demeanor at all times </li></ul>
