<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Educational Aide/Parapro/Support Staff</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/24/2023</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Mason City Schools</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Mason City School District&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Mason City Schools</p> <p>Position: Substitute Special Education Aide & Specialized Classroom Aide</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supports the student(s) in recitation, reading, and other curriculum tasks, guiding and helping, but not teaching. </li><li>Under supervision of the intervention specialist teacher, works one on one or with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher. </li><li>Performs clerical duties such as running copies, putting up bulletin board, preparing materials, etc. </li><li>Implements teacher-directed interventions to support pupil performance objectives. </li><li>Assists students where necessary in accomplishing self-help skills and gradually decrease support as appropriate. </li><li>Assists in documentation of pupil performance. </li><li>Assist in toileting needs, including diapering. </li><li>Will work with student(s) who has medical needs which could include tube feedings, insulin testing, etc. </li><li>Other Duties as Assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must have a high school diploma or GED </li><li>Must be able to pass a BCI&I and FBI criminal background check </li><li>Must be willing to apply for an Eductional Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education </li></ul> <p>Interested individuals must complete an application in the AppliTrack system.</p> <p>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p>
