The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in leading and managing the basketball program. This includes developing the skills of student-athletes, fostering teamwork, ensuring the physical and mental well-being of players, and promoting academic achievement alongside athletic success. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the head coach, athletics director, school administration, staff, and the community to ensure a positive and supportive environment for all participants.</p> <p>Requirements / Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications Previous coaching experience at the high school or higher level; Strong knowledge of coaching rules, techniques, and strategies; Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes; Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment. Licenses & Other Requirements: Must possess a valid CPR and First Aid certification; Must pass a background check and complete all district and CIF required training and certifications.
