<p>Current Saint Francis Employees - Please click HERE to login and apply.</p> <p>Full Time</p> <p>Job Summary: Performs sleep disorder testing inclusive of daytime specialty tests for Narcolepsy. Confers with patients about equipment issues.</p> <p>Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.</p> <p>Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. A valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Report that meets SFHS guidelines are required.</p> <p>Work Experience: 2 years of previous Sleep Lab experience and successful completion of RPSGT exam with registration.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Scores and stages assigned sleep studies by reviewing and editing patient data in a timely manner and utilizes the department policy for scoring. Generates reports for physician interpretation. Performs patient testing as indicated by performing daytime studies, and performing MSLTs or MWTs when necessary. Acquires accurate patient data, trouble shoots and makes appropriate adjustments to assure quality testing. Performs accurate hook-up and disconnect procedures. Performs patient education through the CPAP clinic and general telephone inquiries. Assists with scheduling, reporting inputting and filing of patient information. Cleans and repairs equipment by following appropriate department policies. Maintains needed certifications and attends meetings, in-services, and group leaning sessions to help educate self further in the field of Sleep Medicine. Participates in performance improvement projects as requested.</p> <p>Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.</p> <p>Working Relationships: Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise). Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction.
