If you have these qualities, you'll find our company a great place to further your career.</p> <p>We offer a comprehensive benefits program, exceptional growth and career advancement opportunities, excellent compensation, plus a lucrative Incentive Plan where you can earn over a competitive Salary.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Review daily schedule with staff for hygiene patients </li><li>Work with front office staff to schedule hygiene patients with efficiency </li><li>Accurately chart each patient's periodontal health </li><li>Clearly communicate with patients in a professional manner </li><li>Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients </li><li>Perform scaling, root planing and selective polishing for patients as appropriate </li><li>Polish restorations </li><li>Administer local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice act </li><li>Place medicaments subgingivally for periodontal disease treatment </li><li>Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluorides and sealants </li><li>Evaluate patient comfort level during treatment and help relieve patient anxiety </li><li>Accurately and appropriately record provided treatment </li><li>Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques </li><li>Counsel patients on oral health, including the role of nutrition </li><li>Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary </li><li>Perform other tasks assigned by the dentist </li><li>Handle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations along and office policies and standard operating procedures </li><li>Accurately record patient medical and dental histories </li><li>Assist in the administration of the recall system </li><li>Actively participate in team meetings </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Must be licensed to practice in state and meet other applicable state requirements </li><li>Minimum two years associate's degree (University-based dental hygiene programs, baccalaureate) </li><li>Experience working in a fast-paced dental environment; DSO/Group Practice experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists and coworkers </li><li>Strong verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staff </li><li>Proficient multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Ability to manage time efficiently </li><li>Ability to travel between locations preferred </li></ul>
