<p>Job Requirements</p> <p>The Complex Director of Finance will oversee the Accounting and Finance functions for full-service hotels. A short overview of what this role is expected to perform is summarized below:</p> <ul> <li>Provide the support, financial knowledge, and expertise as a key business leader of the company to assist all levels of leadership in providing hospitality service of the highest quality to guests Assist the General Managers (GMs) in achieving established business goals Direct the accounting and control functions at the property, while ensuring timely reporting of operating results and maintain the integrity of the financial systems </li><li>Supervise all accounting functions for two properties </li><li>Prepare the financial documents within the time frames supplied in the closing schedule and according to HRI and Ownership Company Policies and Procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and the Uniform System of Accounts Analyze and interpret financial results in order to assist and advise the GMs and leadership teams. </li><li>On a monthly basis, maintain balance sheet analysis with full supporting detail and prepare accurate forecasts and cash flow statements upon request </li><li>Prepare timely and accurate sales, use, and occupancy tax returns as well as any other external reports or returns as deemed necessary </li><li>Ensure successful treasury cash management, compliance with the management agreement </li><li>Ensure integrity and efficiency of computerized data processing functions </li><li>Ensure all financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other information required by the company are accurately compiled and submitted within the specified time limits, identifying variances, and making recommendations for improvements as appropriate </li><li>Review forecasts and budgets prepared by leadership teams to make sure owners, GMs and Corporate Office are provided with guidelines of performance that are both reasonable and achievable </li><li>Coach department heads regarding their financial responsibilities and effective financial management techniques and proper usage of financial tools. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting </li><li>Six+ years of hotel accounting experience. </li><li>Mastery of Excel and Microsoft Office, Vena, Aptech, Buy Efficient, Opera, OnQ </li><li>Prior training in guest relations </li><li>Ability to communicate in English with guests, visitors, vendors, and hotel staff </li><li>Ability to provide legible communication. </li><li>Ability to compute mathematical calculations. </li><li>Ability to prioritize, organize work assignments, delegate responsibilities, and follow to completion. </li><li>Ability to direct the performance of department staff and to correct performance when needed. </li><li>Ability to promote positive relations with hotel staff. </li><li>Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment. </li><li>Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision. </li><li>Ability to work cohesively with other departments and coworkers as part of a team. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Benefits include discounted Downtown Nashville parking, discounted Hilton hotel rooms, 50% off food & beverage, medical/health insurance and benefits, Paid Time Off, 401k matching and plan options, & more!</p> <p>Disclaimer</p> <p>This job posting is for a position at a hotel that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee.
