<p>Purpose: this position exists to assist in the monthly closing process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. </li><li>Performs daily cash reconciliations. </li><li>Prepare daily report of operations. </li><li>Assist in the observation of raw, WIP and finished goods inventory audits. </li><li>Maintain fixed asset listing. </li><li>Assist in monthly preparation of dealer rebate accruals. </li></ul> <p>Additional Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Research status of outstanding checks as needed. </li><li>Complete unclaimed property reports annually. </li><li>Prepare sales & use tax return fillings researching applicable tax code. </li><li>Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/ Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting. </li><li>1-3 years prior experience is required. </li><li>Must possess a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Necessary Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication skills are required. </li><li>Manufacturing background preferred. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office software - strong Excel skills are preferred. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. </li></ul> <p>Work Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>This position may require sitting, standing, and working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 95% of the day. </li><li>This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed). </li><li>Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. </li></ul>
