<p>Description</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>Provides high quality, relevant, and actionable business intelligence and data solutions across UTA's business applications. Manages business intelligence, data design, data governance, and technical collaboration within UTA to promote use, organization and conversion of business data to business information. Prepares Technical Design / Specifications, creates prototypes, and develops routines for data extraction and loading. Supports planning and development of business intelligence data sources, databases, data warehouses, activities, processes including data modeling, and business metadata - to create a consistent view and access to business data and information for the enterprise. Also serves as a technical analyst in other enterprise systems through the architecture, creating design requirements, interface specification, coding, testing, documentation, training, deployment and support to ensure system coherence and integrity. Coordinates technical activity; oversees scheduling, training, long-term planning, and quality control activities to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of UTA business systems.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>EDUCATION/TRAINING:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A BA/BS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, Business Management, or equivalent is required.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 1 year (3-5 years preferred) experience in planning, designing, developing, and enhancing source data for BI. </li><li>Minimum 1 year (3-5 years preferred) experience in planning, designing, developing, and enhancing data repositories for BI including databases, data marts, data lakes, and data warehouses. Demonstrated skills in specification and design for business data organization and creating solutions with BI tools. </li><li>7 years strong SQL experience demonstrating database design skills. </li><li>7 years progressive experience in presentation and people skills, demonstrating ability to work effectively within a team and create cross-group collaboration. </li><li>1 year experience in business intelligence projects. </li><li>3 years experience in dashboard creation and data visualization preferred. </li><li>3 year experience with Business Intelligence Tool such as Information Builders, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Databases, data modeling, business analysis, or usability testing. </li><li>Minimum 1 year using Microsoft tools, SSIS, TSQL, SSRS, Visual Studio, C#, Power Shell etc. </li><li>Minimum 1 year experience with reporting and dashboarding tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, crystal. PowerBI and SSRS are preferred tools. </li><li>1 year experience with Azure Tools including Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory and Data Lake. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work with others and participate in a team environment with demonstrated leadership. </li><li>Self-motivated; willing to work under pressure and stress at times. </li><li>Occasionally, working unscheduled hours and/or weekend work will be required to support critical customer needs or where the use of cell phones will be required to respond to emergency situations. </li><li>Local travel will be required to support customers in remote business units. </li><li>Changes in the work schedule may be necessary to accommodate project and business requirements during non-business hours. </li></ul> <p>For more information on UTA's Total Rewards benefits package, please visit: https://jobs.jobvite.com/rideuta/#benefits</p> <ul> <li>Utah Transit Authority is an Equal Opportunity Employer of all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, covered veterans, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
