The role typically involves providing assistance with billing, insurance verification, and financial assistance programs, ensuring that patients are aware of their financial obligations and available options.</p> <p>Financial Counselor Position Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School graduate or equivalent required. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>At least one (1) year of business office experience required. </li><li>Must have computer experience. </li><li>Experience in healthcare billing, collection, or registration preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of regulatory compliance issues, uniform billing requirements, HIPAA transaction code sets, state and federal collection law, and payer contractual relationships preferred. </li><li>Customer service experience preferred. </li><li>Prefer knowledge of second foreign language other than English, preferably Spanish, Haitian or Creole. </li></ul> <p>Financial Counselor Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Friday, primarily day shift and weekends as required. </li><li>Rotating day, evening, week and weekend as required. </li></ul> <p>Financial Counselor Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.</p> </li><li> <p>Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance plans, life insurance, paid time off plans, retirement plans, tuition assistance, employee assistance, and access to on-site childcare and a credit union.</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $18.08 - $27.11 Commensurate with experience</p>
