<p>Broward Health Physician Group</p> <p>Shift: Shift 1</p> <p>FTE: 1.000000</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>In this role, the clinical athletic trainer works under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician while reporting to the clinic manager. ATC will assist staff, providers, residents and medical students with patient care, clerical, and organizational tasks using a team-based approach in providing patient care.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Performs a thorough medical history on each patient. </li><li>Review of medications and allergies, and how quality of life is affected. </li><li>Performs an appropriate physical examination on each patient seen, including range of motion testing, strength testing, sensation testing, palpation, functional testing, ligamentous testing, and special tests as needed. </li><li>Orders and interpret diagnostic studies under the direction of a physician, including radiographs, MRIs, EMG studies, CT scans, diagnostic ultrasounds, rehabilitation referrals, and physician referrals. </li><li>Provides educational responsibilities specific to the needs of each individual patient, including exercise instruction and demonstration and answering patient questions regarding the treatment plan, surgery, rehabilitation and future care. </li><li>Prepares patient for treatment/procedure in a timely manner. </li><li>Performs treatment/procedures/casting/bracing according to established guidelines. </li><li>Prepare and assist the physician with injection procedures done in the office </li><li>Follows OSHA guidelines regarding body substance, isolation, disposal of sharps, etc. </li><li>Documents accurately and timely in patient's record, all treatment/procedures done and initials documentation. </li></ul> <p>Performs a wide variety of direct, technical care functions and delivers athletic training services for orthopedics and sports medicine.</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Essential:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Essential:</p> <ul> <li>One Year </li></ul> <p>Credentials:</p> <p>Essential:</p> <ul> <li>Athletic Trainer </li><li>National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certificate </li><li>Basic Life Support </li></ul> <p>Visit us online at www.BrowardHealth.org or contact Talent Acquisition</p> <ul> <li>Bonus Exclusions may apply in accordance with policy HR-004-026 </li></ul> <p>Broward Health is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
