By joining Jacobs, you'll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.</p> <p>If you're looking to aim higher and do things right, this Group Leader role is for you.</p> <p>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Receives general operational guidance from the Ports & Maritime Department Leader and Director of Operations </li><li>Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure the goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. </li><li>Establishes and maintains relationships for future or potential projects. </li><li>Provides operational supervision and technical guidance to Project Manager(s), Project Engineers and Designers in the Ports & Maritime Group </li><li>Maintains contact with senior client management, office management and managers of applicable departments within Jacobs and other engineering firms engaged in projects relating to the transportation services program. </li><li>Establishes and implements staffing plans to permit effective handling of current and projected workloads </li><li>Regularly monitors the progress of projects or tasks through project management reviews </li><li>Directs/guides responsible Project Managers to take appropriate corrective actions in a timely manner. </li><li>Directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel and provides for and enforces proper delegation of management authority, responsibility, and accountability. </li><li>Establishes and maintains relationships with clients. </li><li>Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. </li><li>Directs and coordinates activities of Project Engineers, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. </li><li>Initiates and reviews price proposals. </li><li>Participates in interviews and presentations as applicable. </li><li>Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients as assigned. Informs Department Leader and Director of Operations of potential opportunities to market services. </li><li>Serves as a representative of Jacobs at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects. </li><li>Coordinates work share with other offices in Jacobs to deliver projects. </li><li>Builds relationships within Jacobs to determine unique technical skills that can be delivered to the market. </li></ul> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Related Engineering </li><li>Demonstrated history of direct supervision of others during execution of design or project management of commercial and/or infrastructure Ports and Maritime projects </li><li>Substantial professional years experience on transportation projects </li><li>Several years experience as a Project Manager on complex projects </li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) License in New York or the ability to obtain within six months. Professional Engineer (PE) License in other Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states preferred. </li><li>Established rapport with Northeast and Mid-Atlantic clients </li><li>Must have developed the following skills: engineering knowledge, leadership, oral and written communication skills, planning, teamwork, decision making, judgment and problem solving </li></ul> <p>Ideally, You'll Also Have:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree Preferred </li></ul> <p>#LI-SW1</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>150,000.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>185,000.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
