We are proud to serve the people of Louisiana with integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to equity.</p> <p>The overall function of this position is to repair and maintain buildings, facilities, equipment and appliances or to perform general maintenance functions on other related facilities.</p> <p>If you're driven, collaborative and ready to make an impact-this could be the opportunity for you!</p> <p>No experience or training is required.</p> <p>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Makes general repairs to interior/exterior of buildings and facilities such as bridge houses, walkways, and other related structures, furniture, fixtures, air conditioning/heating systems, etc. General repairs include, but not limited to, painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical repair, and build forms and pours minor concrete slabs.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs minor repairs to sewerage treatment plants on bridges. </p> </li><li> <p>Performs routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems such as changing filters, cleaning drain lines and general cleaning.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs safety and maintenance on all assigned equipment making minor repairs when necessary. Makes repairs to appliances; replaces parts and makes necessary adjustments.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position-Specific Details:</p> <p>Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional</p> <p>Career Progression: As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Trades Apprentice, Maintenance Repairer 1, or Maintenance Repairer 2 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
