<p>Luther Manor is seeking a Certified Medication Assistant</p> <p>2nd shift (230pm-1045pm)</p> <p>Limited Full-Time (4 days a week with alternating weekend and holidays rotation)</p> <p>A Certified Medication Assistant, administers and records select medications to residents. Performs general nursing assistant duties.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p></p> </li><li>Encourages and models a team approach to accomplish the Luther Manor Mission of providing excellent care and services to our customers. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Reports potential/actual safety hazards to Maintenance, Security, RN Care Coordinator or Nursing Supervisor immediately. Implements correction actions as able.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer scheduled medication prescribed for routine administration according to medication administration policy and procedures. Administers select PRN medications only after the nurse has authorized the administration.</p> </li><li> <p>Encourages and models a team approach to accomplish the Luther Manor Mission of providing excellent care and services to our customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with the staff nurse any concerns related to proper care of the resident.</p> </li><li> <p>Take and record blood pressure and pulse as indicated in conjunction with prescribed medications.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow directions given by unit nurse and communicate effectively with residents and staff. Work effectively and cooperatively as a team member with all disciplines.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow established infection/exposure control procedures, hazardous waste policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in In-service educational programs to increase knowledge and skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to the nursing assistant job description when not administering medications.</p> </li><li> <p>Strive for optimal use of supplies, materials; keeping in mind cost and budget limitations.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain confidentiality of all residents, departmental and organizational information.</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with policies and procedures including attendance, uniform, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Follows established policy for Medication Assistant / Tech Parameters.</p> </li><li> <p>May be required to perform duties as set forth on the CNA job description during a shift scheduled as Medication Technician.</p> </li><li> <p>May be required to work shifts as CNA on a given shift where Medication Technician hours are not available, or offered the option to go home if staffing levels permit.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>1 year experience required</p> </li><li> <p>High School Education or Equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>Current and valid CNA certification required.</p> </li></ul>
