Under the direction of a Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Manager, the Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for directing activities in a manner consistent with established goals and company guidelines to ensure the full and efficient operation of your assigned area. This job is onsite only at our facility in Des Plaines, IL. We have diverse and flexible shifts.</p> <p>How you create impact</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments. </li><li>Orderly stacking of product. </li><li>Picking and staging outbound shipments per the highest possible levels of quality and productivity. </li><li>Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted. </li><li>Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and errors. </li><li>Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment. </li><li>Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented, and jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly. </li><li>Maintain product locator system, and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy. </li><li>Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation. </li><li>Rotate the product as appropriate. </li><li>Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. </li><li>Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. </li><li>Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. </li><li>Conduct operations following OSHA and MSDS standards. </li><li>Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion. </li><li>Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories. </li><li>Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel's Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment Program policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>What we would like you to bring</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in a lead position where effective employee supervision applies </li><li>Detail-oriented, customer-focused, excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities </li><li>Languages: English - Ability to speak, read, write and interpret documents </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills </li><li>Candidate must have Parts Technical Analyst (PTA) certification for Inbound function </li></ul> <p>What's in it for you</p> <p>...</p> <p>Who we are</p> <p>Logistics shapes everyday life - from the goods we consume to the healthcare we rely on.
