<p>Summary</p> <p>Manages activities, workflow and nursing resources for one or more assigned nursing units.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s). </li><li>Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). </li><li>Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s). </li><li>Develops and maintains quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s). </li><li>Monitors and adheres to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines. </li><li>Ensures a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction. </li><li>Conducts hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff. </li></ul> <p>Leadership Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Drives Results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances. </li><li>Customer Focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. </li><li>Instills Trust - Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity. </li><li>Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. </li><li>Communicates Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. </li></ul> <p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p> <ul> <li>Required Credential(s): </li><li>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. </li><li>Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Required professional licensure. AND 2 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Emergency Room Manager. Responsible for day to day operations of an emergency department. ACLS/PALS required within 6 months of hire, TNCC preferred, previous ER Nursing experience preferred. Prefer previous ER Supervision/Management experience.</p>
