<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>Financial Analyst</p> <p>US-CT-Groton</p> <p>Job ID: 2026-18451</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p># of Openings: 1</p> <p>Category: Accounting/Finance</p> <p>EB Groton Shipyard</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The Program Finance Analyst (Financial Analyst) performs Financial Management and Program Control functions associated with design contracts managed by the Program Finance Department, D626. The Program Finance team serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic program decisions and achieving bottom-line results.</p> <p>Position located at the New London, CT Facility.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Create and update daily, weekly, and monthly reports to support program management </li><li>Preparation of cost reports to support both internal and external customers </li><li>Budget development and maintenance, Estimate at Complete development </li><li>Performance measurement and variance analysis </li><li>Communication and presentation of data to Program Office, department Directors, and external customers </li><li>Input to Finance systems for Indicated Profits, Sales Orders and Backlog </li><li>Shop order management </li><li>Monitoring subcontractor contracts including requisition review and approval </li><li>Coordination with Cash Management to support billing to external customers </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Be interested in and capable of analyzing data with minimal supervision </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint </li><li>Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills </li><li>Possess a considerable amount of initiative and organizational skills </li><li>Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively with others </li><li>Ability to meet critical reporting deadlines </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics/Analytics </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>0-2 years of related experience </li><li>Prior Electric Boat experience or internship </li><li>Experience in government contract cost control </li><li>Experience with Earned Value Management </li><li>Experience with Microsoft Power BI </li><li>Knowledge of EB Systems (WAF/DLB, Accounting, Planning, Mainframe MRP, Purchasing and Inventory, Oracle) </li><li>Experience reporting and analyzing financial data </li></ul>
