VOA services include housing and emergency shelters, hunger and nutrition services, and many other community support programs. VOA integrates compassion with highly effective programs that build and strengthen communities.</p> <p>WHAT MAKES VOA SPECIAL?</p> <p>Volunteers of America Colorado believes unique challenges require unique and thoughtful solutions. VOA creates specialized programs to meet the critical needs of the communities we serve-our programs across Colorado look different because each community is distinct. We engage faith, relationship-building, and volunteers wherever we go to lift up and support Colorado's most vulnerable citizens.</p> <p>Oversees the development, implementation, and daily operations of the group and individual volunteer team. Responsible for program development, resource growth, personnel supervision, budget oversight, and strategic relationship-building with internal departments and community partners.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Volunteer Services staff, interns, and volunteers in line with VOA Colorado's personnel policies. </li><li>Oversee daily volunteer operations; assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure quality service delivery. </li><li>Resolve conflicts, maintain open communication, and foster a supportive environment for volunteers. </li><li>Develop and lead continuing education and training opportunities for staff and volunteers. </li><li>Maintain accurate, up-to-date volunteer data and hours in Salesforce. </li><li>Ensure compliance with AmeriCorps Seniors program grant requirements and reporting. </li><li>Provide regular performance and impact reports to agency leadership. </li><li>Lead community outreach efforts to promote volunteerism; represent VOA at events and meetings. </li><li>Drive recruitment of individual volunteers and proactively cultivate corporate volunteer partnerships to expand group engagement. </li><li>Assess program needs and community trends; implement improvements and growth strategies. </li><li>Support program budget creation and monitor expenses in coordination with the Division Director and Accounting. </li><li>Design and execute formal and informal volunteer recognition initiatives to boost retention and morale. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Directly supervises Volunteer Specialists on the individual and group volunteer team. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs. </li><li>Event and project days may require standing/walking for extended periods (up to 10 hours). </li><li>Frequent travel within Denver Metro and Larimer County for events and outreach. </li></ul> <p>Position Type and Expected Hours of Work</p> <ul> <li>Full-time, typically Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. </li><li>Occasional evenings and weekends (approx. 1/month). </li><li>Hybrid schedule based on business needs. </li></ul> <p>Location</p> <p>VOA Colorado Administration Building</p> <p>2660 Larimer St.</p> <p>Denver, CO 80205</p> <p>SALARY: $60,000-$65,000 annual exempt</p> <p>Employee must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of self or others.
