<p>Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Englewood, CO.</p> <p>Summary: The client is seeking a senior-level Software Engineer with strong Java and Spring experience. The role is an individual contributor role involving the design, development, and maintenance of cloud microservices - primarily involving RESTful APIs and message-driven processes. We are looking for a strong team member to join our engineers in producing high-quality internal services to support our evolving product line, as well as to mentor junior and mid-level developers via code review and small team projects.</p> <p>In addition to regular day-to-day programming, engineers will be expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Work with leads and architecture to find technical solutions </li><li>Triage and troubleshoot defects </li><li>Understand and operate CI/CD pipelines and lower environment deployments </li><li>Advocate for best practices, including testing, observability, and security* 4-10 years of relevant experience </li><li>Expertise with modern Java and the Spring Framework </li><li>Working experience with containerized deployments (e.g. Docker in Kubernetes) </li><li>Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and event-driven services </li><li>Solid understanding of core programming concepts (e.g., serialization, concurrency/asynchronous programming, OO principles, dependency injection, coupling and cohesion) </li><li>Written and verbal communication skills </li></ul> <p>Technical experience with:</p> <ul> <li>Java 17+ </li><li>Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Web, Spring Cloud) </li><li>Kubernetes </li><li>NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, DocumentDB) </li><li>Kafka or similar message frameworks (e.g. RabbitMQ, Spark) </li><li>CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab, Jenkins, Harness) </li></ul> <p>Nice to have:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, etc.) </li><li>Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CDK) </li><li>Experience working in an Agile development environment </li><li>Documentation/technical writing skills </li><li>Logging and monitoring service familiarity (e.g. Splunk, DataDog) </li></ul>
