<p>The Laboratory of Dr. Lynn Petukhova is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with expertise in genetic epidemiology, population genetics, biostatistics, or bioinformatics to drive innovation in biobank research. The successful candidate will apply prior experience with biobank data (esp. MVP, All of Us) to work at the intersection of genomics, precision medicine, and population health, using advanced computational and statistical methods to analyze genetic data.</p> <p>The candidate will join a leading NIH-funded team in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology that also has active affiliations with the Department of Population Health and the Division of Human Genetics. Our lab mission is to implement precision medicine in the management of hair follicle diseases including hidradenitis suppurativa, androgenetic alopecia, and scarring hair loss. At NYU Langone Health our group is building translational research programs by engaging clinicians, epidemiologists, and basic science researchers around clinical themes of hidradenitis suppurativa and hair loss. We are founding members of international consortia including the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Genetics Consortium and the Skin Genetics Consortium.</p> <p>This candidate will have the opportunity to develop innovative analytic strategies in biobank-scale data and develop collaborations with teams conducting epidemiological research in MVP. Our team is also generating whole genome sequence data on 2,500 participants being recruited at NYU Langone Health and nationally through our survey research program. Funding is available to support this position for 3+ years and promotion to faculty positions is possible. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with investigators across NYU Langone Health, and internationally through our consortia.</p> <p>NYU Langone Health offers competitive postdoctoral benefits that support research, professional development, and overall well-being.
