<p>CLASS SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing operations of assigned properties. Responsibilities may include supervising staff; managing finances; and overseeing properties.</p> <p>TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)</p> <ol> <li> <p>Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; coordinating staff training; and supporting personnel procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages finances of assigned areas, including: preparing operating and capital budgets; approving purchase requisitions and payments; assisting in annual audits; drawing grant funds; and performing related tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Engages in asset management of City-owned multi-family housing, including property performance indicators, building life cycle and planning needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the operations of assigned properties, including: managing the response to emergency situations; monitoring vendors to ensure operations are completed in accordance with contracts; and recommending various policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Responds to a wide range of policy, regulation, and related inquiries from officials, residents, the public, and others.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages federal grants and subsidy calculations; participates in grant development</p> </li><li> <p>Secretary of the Dearborn Housing Commission; interacts with HUD.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings.</p> </li></ol> <p>This job description is intended to represent only the key areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the business needs of the department.</p>
