<p>This Opportunity</p> <p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Analyst for our Raleigh, NC office to support our Southeast Region Geospatial / Surveying Team. The successful candidate will be part of a team conducting SUE of all levels. New Graduates with a BS degree in a relevant discipline will be considered.</p> <p>For information on our Geospatial team, follow this link - https://vimeo.com/390798645/f3e8decde8</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>Assist with development and maintenance of site safety plans </li><li>Create a culture of safety observing and complying with all company and related safety rules </li><li>Lead SUE Field Crew in day-to-day operations, including but not limited to utility locating, vacuum excavation, and data collection </li><li>Mentor junior staff, training on utility location and vacuum excavation </li><li>Ensure assigned SUE field project tasks and data collection are quality, accurate, and thorough </li><li>Communicate with office staff on project progress, project needs, equipment needs, etc. </li><li>Engage in occasional contact with client personnel to schedule and coordinate project activities. </li><li>Occasionally work with utility owners to obtain needed as-built/schematic records </li><li>Complete assigned projects in the field, on schedule and under budget </li><li>Work with office crew to create an accurate and complete deliverable </li><li>Remain current in latest SUE/survey knowledge, techniques, and practices. </li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures </li><li>Assist project managers with estimates for project budgets </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>5+ years of progressive experience in the SUE industry </li><li>Ability to work independently, and as part of a diverse team </li><li>Analytical, detail oriented, goal driven, problem solver, self-lead </li><li>Possess excellent communication skills </li><li>Display proficiency with both EM and GPR locating equipment </li><li>Display proficiency in reading utility as-built/schematic records </li><li>Display working knowledge of survey equipment (conventional and GPS) </li><li>Ability to operate vacuum excavation equipment </li><li>Ability to traverse terrain, as project dictates, in all seasons </li><li>Ability to lift up to 100 lbs or work as a team to do so </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable MVR </li><li>Be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening </li><li>Able to work occasional overtime as project timeline dictates </li><li>Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements </li></ul> <p>#LI-AC2</p>
