<p>Why do we need you ?</p> <p>In this role, the order picker retrieves products from the warehouse aisles, verifies the order quantity and item to accurately fulfill customers' orders. An order picker operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment meeting the company standards of safety, security, and productivity.</p> <p>Shift: 1st, Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm, with an opportunity for overtime</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Efficiently picking orders, while using a Tugger (Powered Industrial Truck), and assembling products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product ordered is packed and shipped free of damage. </li><li>Accurately and safely move, pick, and pack orders using voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment </li><li>Maintain a high standard of quality while picking and organizing products for shipment </li><li>Completing equipment inspections daily and documenting findings on touch-screen located on the equipment. </li><li>Maintaining the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion, ensuring that products can be efficiently picked. </li><li>Operates Jungheinrich material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following the prescribed work methods </li></ul> <p>Is this job for you ?</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety </li><li>Ability to read and effectively communicate in English, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly </li><li>Must display a high level of accuracy, initiative, and dependability with a good attendance record </li><li>Ability to pass OSHA-approved Jungheinrich material handling equipment certification </li><li>Ability to lift 30lbs consistently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally </li><li>Ability to safely operate the following powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment: Tugger (TR) </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED, preferred </li><li>1 Year + Relevant work experience in a warehouse setting in lieu of, preferred </li><li>Familiarity with voice picking and/or radio frequency equipment is beneficial </li><li>Ability to safely operate the following powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment: Stock Picker (SP) </li></ul> <p>A little more about us</p> <p>Saint-Gobain Abrasives offers powerful, precise, user-friendly solutions, which enable customers to cut, shape, and finish all materials in the most complex and challenging applications.
