<p>JOB TITLE - Campus Monitor</p> <p>CLASSIFICATION - Classified</p> <p>FLSA STATUS - Non-Exempt</p> <p>IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR - Building Principal</p> <p>RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM - Building administrators, district leadership</p> <p>PURPOSE OF THE POSITION - To, under general supervision, provide supervision and support for students across the school day.</p> <p>Please review the UCSD Actions of Excellence to gain an understanding of the expectations for UCSD employees.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS -</p> <p>(Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, Education, Certification/Licensure, Experience, Equipment)</p> <p>Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment including computer, printer, ten-key calculator, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, etc. </li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Knowledge of School District policies and procedures. </li><li>Ability to interact in a positive manner with students, faculty, parents, and other staff members. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Some experience with supervising children preferred. </li></ul> <p>Equipment</p> <ul> <li>Office equipment such as computers, two-way radios, multi-line phone system, cell phone, copier, and fax machines. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -</p> <p>The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Supervise students in all school areas as needed including but not limited to aiding with transition times in the hallways, monitoring high-traffic areas such as the commons/cafeteria and parking lot, school events that occur during the school day, and providing classroom support. </li><li>Provide support for designing and implementing school-wide systems to increase student success in the areas of attendance, behavior, and grades at the Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels including but not limited to classroom behavior response, individualized student planning, and collection and analysis of data. </li><li>Contribute to school and district goals in the area of attendance through supporting staff in accurate attendance practices, collecting and analyzing attendance data, and collaborating with the attendance team regarding MTSS practices for individuals and groups. </li><li>Build and maintain positive relationships with students to help facilitate progress toward attendance, behavior, and academic standards while modeling and teaching positive behaviors. </li><li>Support individual and small groups of students in social skill development, conflict resolution, relationships with peers and staff, monitoring progress, and future success planning. </li><li>Communicate with students and staff to provide information about school-wide processes. </li><li>Assist administration in identifying and prioritizing behavior response plans and collection of data. </li><li>Maintain knowledge regarding emergency procedures and aid in the safety and security of the building. </li><li>Maintain a reliable attendance record. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISION OF OTHERS -</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS -</p> <ul> <li>Repetitious bending, lifting, and hand movement. </li><li>Ability to work while standing, moving and/or walking. </li><li>Drug, tobacco, and alcohol-free while working. </li><li>Must be able to see and hear within normal limits with or without corrective lenses or hearing aids. </li><li>Ability to operate a motor vehicle used to travel between sites. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS -</p> <ul> <li>Majority of work is performed in an office or school setting. </li><li>Occasional meetings outside the school day. </li><li>Occasional exposure to body fluids, fumes, noise, and hazardous materials and emergency situations. </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT -</p> <ul> <li>At-Will Employee </li><li>Letter of Assignment </li><li>Per Board Policies and administrative guidelines </li><li>Performance evaluated annually </li></ul>
