<p>TO:ALL STAFF BROCKTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>FROM:Dr. Kathleen F. Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources</p> <p>SUBJECT:HR Generalist</p> <p>The position of HR Generalist is being advertised.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in human resources or other related field preferred. </li><li>Human resources experience strongly preferred. </li><li>SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred. </li><li>Proven ability to handle confidential data with integrity and discretion. </li><li>Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage complex tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. </li><li>Ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks independently and collaboratively. </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Forms, SharePoint) as well as Canva and Google Docs. </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in task management and compliance reporting. </li><li>Outstanding oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Courteous, efficient, and professional demeanor in all interactions. </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in online information systems (ex. MUNIS, Frontline, Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, etc). </li><li>Knowledge of school department operations and related procedures preferred. </li><li>Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. </li></ul> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Processes all leaves of absence (LOA) in coordination with Associate Directors and addresses LOA/WC issues. </li><li>Maintains personnel and medical files, including accident reports. </li><li>Assists with the management of open enrollment for optional insurance, flex spending, etc. </li><li>Process and manage all required paperwork for transfers, resignations, retirements, and leaves of staff. </li><li>Manage attendance reporting and ensure that attendance-related information is accurately entered into Frontline for compliance and verification. </li><li>Respond to unemployment claims, employment verifications and loan forgiveness form requests in a timely manner. </li><li>Act as the School Committee liaison (e.g. negotiations, biweekly agenda book, etc). </li><li>Support Administration with all federal and state compliance and reporting including but not limited to (EEO, OSHA, CRDC, MCAD, WC) and employee assistance. </li><li>Help maintain employee personnel records, update employee policies/mandated trainings, and set up new employees in the system. </li><li>Oversee and manage compliance aspects of the onboarding process, including background checks, I-9 verification, and other pre-employment screenings. </li><li>Screen candidates for instructional and non-instructional positions, as applicable. </li><li>Assist with job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate follow-up. </li><li>Prepare hire letters/contracts as required. </li><li>Help maintain employee personnel records, update employee policies/mandated trainings, and set up new employees in the system. </li><li>Monitor certification and/or qualifications of staff to ensure compliance. </li><li>With guidance from Administration, plan intentional recruiting and retention efforts (including but not limited to the following programs: mentor teachers/induction, student teaching, and substitute orientation). </li><li>Maintain accurate records and ensure proper record retention for all documents. </li><li>Manage regular reports for the HR team. </li><li>Act as a liaison with the Principals/Administrative Assistants/etc on all HR matters. </li><li>Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements including, FOIA, Wage and Hour, EEOC, FMLA, employment; study new and existing legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; advise management on needed actions. </li><li>Protect the HR Office's reputation by keeping information confidential. </li><li>Complete special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting deadlines and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; communicating to stakeholders. </li><li>Support the Title IX investigations as needed. </li><li>Update job knowledge by participating in professional development and other educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. </li><li>Enhance department and District reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. </li><li>Interact with co-workers, administration, students, families, and the community in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Specific duties, responsibilities and expectations of this position will be discussed with each applicant at the time of interview.</p> <p>Funding Source - Local</p> <p>Salary Range - $75,000 - $90,000</p> <p>Apply via School Spring by May 28, 2025</p> <p>Include cover letter, current resume, 3 letters of recommendation.</p>
