<p>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</p> <p>As a Host Cashier, you will be responsible for monetary transactions. You will also set the stage for the guest experience with your welcoming smile and service.</p> <p>Position: Part-Time Hourly</p> <p>Location: Gold Strike Casino</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure procedures are being followed. </li><li>Operate the POS system. </li><li>Handle money and credit transactions. </li><li>Notify the manager on duty of any guest concerns. </li><li>Perform other job-related duties as requested. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>One (1) year of Food & Beverage Cashier or equivalent experience in a cash-handling position </li><li>Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. </li><li>Experience in a high-volume food outlet. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced and stressful environment. </li><li>Knowledgeable of a Point of Sales (POS) system including handling all monetary/credit transactions; including working knowledge of computerized cash registers. </li><li>Knowledgeable of food and beverage operations and procedures. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoking.
