<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Technical Delivery Leader will be responsible for the technical direction and delivery within the workstream (i.e. POD), ensuring the solution is scalable, robust, and aligned with business objectives and the overall technical landscape of HomeServe. Reporting to the Director, IT Development, this role will be responsible for the delivery of development, maintenance, and enhancements within the latest solution developments. They will oversee the technical planning, execution, and delivery of the workstream, providing and gathering input on the technical architecture and design for their focus area, such as CRM, CPQ, Campaign, or Billing. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing a team of developers.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Technical Guidance and Solution Design</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that the technical aspects of projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards, working closely with the functional lead to plan and coordinate tasks </li><li>Provide technical direction and leadership to the development team, including making decisions on architecture and design </li><li>Ensure solution(s) adhere to architectural guidelines, standards and best practices </li><li>Design integrations with other systems and services, both internal and external as needed </li><li>Address technical challenges and obstacles, finding effective solutions to issues that arise during development </li><li>Identify, assess, and prioritize risks and challenges, and develop strategies for mitigating these risks effectively </li><li>Proactively identify, report, and escalate technical risks when guidance or intervention is needed and report to leadership accordingly </li><li>Stay updated with the platform roadmap, latest solution developments and releases, to introduce improvements to the platform and take advantage of newly released functionality </li></ul> <p>Testing and Release Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and maintain code quality and integrity </li><li>Coordinate with internal workstream team to manage readiness for integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), releases, and cutover </li><li>Oversee workstream and solution-specific dress rehearsals and releases, ensuring successful deployment with minimal disruption to production environments </li><li>Facilitate post-release support and troubleshooting, coordinating with other cross-functional teams to resolve release issues </li></ul> <p>People Leadership and Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for managing a team of Developers and / or Engineers. </li><li>Provide day-to-day oversight of workstream technical teams as well as any contract resources supporting the overall delivery </li><li>Collaborate with IT Development Lead, Solution Architects and Enterprise Architects to design scalable, robust and cost-effective technical solutions that meet business requirements </li><li>Collaborate with Functional leads and Product owners to determine areas of overlap, dependency, or conflict when considering workstream requirements </li><li>Support the workstream functional team with development of documentation such as user stories, acceptance criteria and test scripts </li><li>Responsible for delivering and managing business defined solutions within the respective POD. </li><li>Work with business users and IT staff to troubleshoot difficult operational, data and exceptions issues </li><li>Act as a mentor to developers, offering guidance, support, and training as needed </li><li>Support performance management of all workstream technical resources </li></ul> <p>Technical Documentation Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee creation of technical documentation, including technical design documents, system architecture diagrams and operating procedures </li><li>Ensure documentation is kept up to date, reflecting the latest system changes or updates </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Essential Job Function</p> field </li><li>5+ years of experience in software development, with 3-5 years leading technical and/or development team(s) during implementation of relevant platforms </li><li>Architecture certifications such as TOGAF are an asset, Agile certifications (SAFe, Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master) preferred </li></ul> <p>Required Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks </li><li>Experience with common Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, GitHub) </li><li>Knowledge of automated testing solutions </li><li>Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and multiple tasks/projects occurring at once </li><li>Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines </li><li>Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong technical project management and/or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and control activities </li><li>Experience working in an offshore/onshore collaborative environment </li></ul>
