<p>THE POSITION</p> <p>Do you have a sharp analytical mind and enjoy tackling complex technical projects? If so, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites you to embark upon an exciting career path as a Roadway Programs Technician 2 within the Cambria County maintenance district. We look forward to collaborating with you!</p> <p>DESCRIPTION OF WORK</p> <p>As a Roadway Programs Technician 2, you will employ your organizational skills to track inventory and reports, create and maintain various spreadsheets, and review and analyze data. Specific duties will entail traveling to county stockpiles on a monthly basis for inventory purposes and verifying that Strategic Environmental Management Program (SEMP) guidelines remain in compliance. You will utilize an Expenditure Analysis Report to monitor the status of work activities and provide strategic recommendations to management. This professional also serves as the Reimbursable Activity Report (RAR) Coordinator which involves reviewing local news sources to determine fatal accidents within the county, compiling various data from the accident, and forwarding the report to the district traffic technician for inclusion into the district's quarterly risk management meeting. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate highway beautification programs such as Keep PA Beautiful, Litter Brigade, Adopt-a-Highway, and more.</p> <p>Interested in learning more?
