<p>Job Description:</p> <p>This job posting is for certifed educators interested in opportunities for the 2026-2027 School Year.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Elementary ClassroomTeacher</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences. </li><li>Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of all students. </li><li>Develop schemes of work and lesson plans </li><li>Utilizes effective classroom management techniques </li><li>Work collaborative with building administration, teachers, parents/guardians and students. </li><li>Utilizes effective classroom management techniques. </li><li>Establish an effective rapport with students assigned. </li><li>Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs. </li><li>Utilizes technology to support instruction. </li><li>Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students. </li><li>Manage student behavior. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEGDE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal, including presentations. </li><li>Ability to use basic, job related equipment. </li><li>Be self-motivated. </li><li>Flexibility to work with others in a variety of circumstances and a diverse group of individuals. </li><li>Knowledge of NCLB (No Child Left Behind), FERPA and other federal, state and local guidelines. </li><li>Passionate about improving urban public education and devoted to making a difference. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree or above in Education</p> <p>Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT</p> <p>10 month employee</p> <p>Medical/Dental/Life Benefits in accordance to JSD Policy</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: Exempt</p> <p>The Job Description above identifies the essential functions, knowledge, skills and experience required for this position, and provides examples of duties that may be required.</p>
