<p>Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA and is seeking a Help Desk Specialist. This is a full-time and onsite position in Silver Spring, MD.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provides Tier 1 help desk support including initial ticket triage, password resets, basic troubleshooting, and user account provisioning. </li><li>Responds to routine service requests for desktop/laptop support, mobile device setup, Google Workspace assistance, and AV/conference room technologies. </li><li>Documents all actions in the ticketing system, updates inventory, and escalates complex issues to senior specialists or the IT Support Lead. </li><li>Supports remote users and participates in asset tracking and lifecycle activities </li><li>Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred). </li><li>1-2 years of Tier 1 help desk experience supporting Windows desktops/laptops and mobile devices in an enterprise environment. </li><li>Hands-on experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), remote support tools, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Voice, Meet). </li><li>Familiarity with AV/conference room equipment, basic printer troubleshooting, and asset tracking procedures. </li><li>Understanding of account provisioning and Active Directory user management. </li><li>Knowledge of FISMA compliance concepts and basic endpoint patching preferred. </li><li>Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills. </li><li>Ability to follow SOPs and escalate incidents appropriately. </li></ul> <p>Astor & Sanders Corporation (www.astor-sanders.com) offers a unique, stimulating and challenging environment that fosters individual growth and rewards performance.
