<p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout the state of South Carolina.</p> <p>The Clinic Office Coordinator will provide a direct line of management and leadership for all patient care areas. This position will also perform Certified Medical Assistant duties; performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Ensures proper standards are followed for practice and provides interface between the support services and clinical services. Facilitates care delivery system development and operation, including but not limited to staffing and professional delivery of services. Manages daily operations of clinical and clerical employees, including staffing schedules, while maintaining an efficient and professional work atmosphere. Develops and sets goals at the process, job, and interface level to ensure optimal patient care to meet overall organizational goals.</p> <p>Certified Medical Assistant duties to include interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.</p> <p>Basic computer skills required. Annual competencies are required to be maintained. Possess ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures and ability to make accurate physical observation of patients. Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.</p> <p>Minimum Education and Experience:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.
