<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position serves as a team leader responsible for providing guidance, scheduling, direction, and on-the-job training to employees issuing Business and Trades credentials or Manufactured Homes Credentials, Titles, and Permits. In addition to performing as a lead worker, this position will serve as the program resource and subject matter expert and have the most complex work requiring the highest level of independent judgement and discretion, such as, handling licensing issue escalations. Other duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Preparing, coordinating, and adjusting employee work assignments and schedules to maintain high quality customer service and team efficiency, and generally oversees application processing, record-keeping and statutes and rules changes due to new laws. </li><li>Performing the most complex reviews and processing of all professions or applicable items. </li><li>Participating in the resolution of problems and assists in determining the eligibility for licensing and complex situations. </li><li>Providing information and assistance to the public regarding the requirements and procedures for licensing and/or titling and conducts all reviews of application materials and requirements. </li><li>Serving as the team's technical expert in all services provided to the walk-in public. </li><li>Dealing with customers who have unusual, complex, or sensitive needs, and those that have eligibility, identity, residency, legal or other issues. </li><li>Keeping the supervisor apprised of issues, concerns, and/or problems regarding applicants and/or staff members at all times. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>These positions are in schedule-range (02-13) with an hourly rate of $25.32, plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>This classification is currently approved for a $3.00 per hour add on temporarily through the 2023-25 Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check.</p> <p>This state agency does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process. For permanent positions that allow remote work flexibility, it is not anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin (or bordering cities) will be allowed because positions may need to report to office locations in Wisconsin on short notice.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants must have all of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with application processing, or equivalent such as reviewing documentation for accuracy or completeness, reviewing payments, and making decisions on the applications (including but not limited to approval and denial. </li><li>Experience understanding and interpretating state statutes, administrative codes, and laws or experience with interpreting complex or highly detailed written material in a technical, regulatory, compliance or policy-driven environment. </li><li>Experience training other staff or team members. </li><li>Experience utilizing computer programs such as salesforce or equivalent, in daily duties to manage online queues or workflow management, electronic document review, navigating digital applications and interfaces, and basic troubleshooting and system navigation skills. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
