<p>Job Title: Piping Designer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a Piping Designer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing assignments and activities delegated from the Group Supervisor. You will work collaboratively with drafters, designers, engineers, and support personnel to achieve project objectives, ensuring quality and timely execution. Your responsibilities will include managing deliverables such as construction drawings, design studies, and bills of materials, while scheduling work assignments and providing guidance and training to the team.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Execute project objectives in collaboration with drafters, designers, engineers, and support personnel. </li><li>Manage the completion of deliverables including construction drawings, design studies, and bills of materials. </li><li>Schedule work assignments and provide guidance, training, and assistance to designers, checkers, and drafters. </li><li>Manage a segment of a project under the direction of the Group Supervisor. </li><li>Coordinate with client and construction personnel to ensure project requirements are met. </li><li>Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction estimates and documentation. </li><li>Estimate project design and drafting manpower requirements. </li><li>Approve final drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and standards. </li><li>Maintain engineering document indices and drafting progress reports. </li><li>Confirm checking and approval for all vendor shop drawings. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 7-10 years of piping design experience in the power or energy & chemicals industry. </li><li>Strong CAD skills with experience in AutoCAD, Microstation, or Revit. </li><li>Overall understanding of technical disciplines and project execution. </li><li>Strong supervision skills with the ability to mentor and lead a team. </li><li>Research skills, analytical and creative problem-solving skills. </li><li>Project and time management skills. </li><li>Ability to clearly communicate information verbally and in writing. </li><li>Proficient in CADWorx, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or Associates Degree with drafting courses. </li><li>Preferred experience with Plant 3D and/or Aveva E3D. </li><li>Background in Chemical/Refinery/Power/LNG. </li><li>Experience with Autodesk or Bentley Structural packages, AVEVA E3D or PDMS software is preferred. </li><li>Ability to coordinate tasks with good attention to detail and manage conflicting priorities. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role is primarily based in a general office environment, operating in a fast-paced setting. Occasionally, work may be required in industrial locations with moderate to high noise levels. The job sites may feature various equipment and tools, and interactions with personnel engaged in different activities. The environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability and effective communication.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
