<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Under the general supervision of the training academy major, plans Implements, monitors, and evaluates training programs for agency personnel, both uniform & non-uniform, with emphasis on programs for uniform staff who supervise inmates of all custody levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs and supervises academy lieutenants.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates training programs and resources for SCDC divisions and institutions, as well as other agencies/organizations.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies training needs and monitors compliance with training policies and programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides professional guidance & assistance to instructors and curriculum.</p> </li><li> <p>Must successfully complete the physical agility assessment and be able to lift 40lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Must successfully complete the following training for trainers' courses basic instructor, firearms, defensive driving, American safety and health institute first aid/CPR&AED, respiratory fit, less lethal munitions advanced interpersonal verbal & written skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge & understanding advanced interpersonal verbal & written skills.
