The successful candidate will place particular focus/emphasis on volatility based solutions. This role is an opportunity for someone looking to grow their skill set and knowledge of Capital Markets in general.</p> <p>How You'll Succeed</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist the Structuring Group with their daily activities and administrative tasks, including but not limited to the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Pro-actively generating Cross Asset Derivatives as well as Quantitative Investment Strategy (Systematic Indices) ideas that are value-add to Financial Institutions with particular emphasis on Equity Derivatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Quickly and efficiently respond to Derivative pricing requests from sales staff and clients. Derivative Pricing capabilities in multiple asset classes would be an asset.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform various market analysis in support of new product idea development</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of Canadian & US Equity market is a huge plus</p> </li><li> <p>Perform analysis on strategies using back-testing</p> </li><li> <p>Creation of marketing material</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate and partner other groups in Capital Markets to provide best solution for the client</p> </li><li> <p>On your own initiative, develop product knowledge through directed or self-directed study. Be prepared to cross train when the appropriate time arises, as suggested by management. Share any developed skills, knowledge, ideas with management and other members of Global Markets. Attend learning sessions hosted by the Continuous Learning Program as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of business/economics typically acquired through a university degree and/or a combination of education and industry experience. Degrees in Mathematics and Engineering disciplines strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of Financial Market derivatives acquired through a minimum of 5-10 years' experience</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of current financial markets, and an understanding of current market transactions</p> </li><li> <p>Able to very quickly acquire knowledge, to demonstrate competence and to add value to the transaction and client relationships</p> </li><li> <p>Confident, assertive, and able to function in a fast-paced environment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fluid environment while maintaining focus</p> </li><li> <p>Strong inter-personal skills, selling skills, and team player skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong multi-tasking and time management skills</p> </li><li> <p>Python, VBA, SQL and C# knowledge would be an asset</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work and resolve problems independently</p> </li><li> <p>Values matter to you. This role has an expected salary range of $225,000-$275,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
