<p>The Reinsurance Officer coordinates with the various departments involved in the reinsurance process, including Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Claims and others as appropriate to review reinsurance requirements and analyze structure options.</p> <p>Your contribution at AIG</p> <p>As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collate the data required to prepare the submission package, which is provided to the broker for submission creation, by liaising with the Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial and Claims departments</p> </li><li> <p>Work with the Legal Department to draft and review the reinsurance contract wording in accordance with AIG's corporate standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate the availability of documents and reports for claims, underwriting and transactional audits, as well as any other audits performed by external auditors.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate and consider treaty reinsurance quotes and indications and negotiate the transaction to support AIG's business requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and track execution of contract wordings to full completion by AIG's contract certainty standards, and maintain electronic filing archive.</p> </li><li> <p>Summarize Treaty Terms and Schematics and distribute internally as needed post-placement</p> </li><li> <p>Develop, manage and maintain relationships with reinsurance brokers and reinsurance markets to facilitate placements, execution of contract wording, timely claims payments and gain market intelligence.</p> </li><li> <p>Support compliance by maintaining appropriate documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding Profit Centre business strategy and reinsurance objectives</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with corporate and regional security policy</p> </li><li> <p>Managing the special exception process when appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and manage all external reinsurance underwriting audits as well as Manage and/or conduct field audits for compliance</p> </li></ul> <p>What we are looking for</p> <ul> <li> <p>At least 5 years of Reinsurance related experience</p> </li><li> <p>ARe and/or CPCU preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong presentation development and executive communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced PowerPoint capabilities with a strong ability to synthesize complex data into concise, impactful presentations</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to create and deliver high-quality presentations for senior leadership and C-suite audiences</p> </li><li> <p>Strong negotiation skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail and quantitative skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various internal stakeholders, including underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance and IT departments</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to travel as required (10%)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel</p> </li></ul> <p>For positions based in New York and New Jersey, the base salary range is $138,000-$173,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
