Welcome to Metronet, where we don't just build networks; we build communities.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Strategic Sourcing Director is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings, mitigate risk, and provide operational support across the supply chain. This role leads a sourcing team responsible for identifying strategic partnerships, negotiating supply agreements, evaluating supplier performance, and managing supplier relationships, while ensuring quality and compliance standards are met. This position partners with business unit leaders in operations, finance, and compliance to ensure sourcing activities align with business goals and corporate objectives.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives </li><li>Lead category management and supplier segmentation to optimize material spend </li><li>Establish sourcing plans that optimize and balance quality, delivery, and cost </li><li>Negotiate supply agreements to achieve optimal pricing, service levels, and mitigate risk </li><li>Oversee supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives </li><li>Ensure supplier compliance with corporate policies and requirements </li><li>Coach and develop a sourcing team with a focus on strategic thinking, risk mitigation, and negotiation excellence </li><li>Support a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain management or business administration </li><li>Master's degree or MBA preferred </li><li>8 years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in leadership roles, preferably in the telecommunications or utility industries </li><li>Demonstrated experience leading sourcing initiatives across multiple supply chain functions </li><li>Solid understanding of category management principles </li><li>Strong negotiation, contract management, and relationship management skills </li><li>Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities </li><li>Experience with sourcing and procurement ERP systems, Oracle preferred </li><li>CPSM, CSCP, or CPM certifications preferred </li></ul> <p>Metronet is an equal opportunity employer.
