This role is physically active and essential to preparing spaces for incoming summer residents and conference guests. Team members work collaboratively, follow established procedures, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and service.</p> <p>Learn more about the great benefits of working for University of Utah: benefits.utah.edu</p> <p>The department may choose to hire at any of the below job levels and associated pay rates based on their business need and budget.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Linen & Supply Support</p> <ul> <li>Push and transport linen carts between buildings throughout Heritage Commons (up to a one mile radius, multiple trips as needed). </li><li>Distribute linens to assigned rooms, including blankets, pillows, sheets, pillowcases, amenities, mattress covers, and shower curtains. </li><li>Install mattress covers and shower curtains as part of room preparation. </li><li>Cleaning & Room Preparation </li><li>Perform routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down furniture and surfaces. </li><li>Move furniture away from walls to prepare rooms for deep cleaning by custodial staff. </li></ul> <p>Operational Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist with mattress replacement projects as needed. </li><li>Work weekends when required to support summer turnover timelines and operational needs </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).</p> <p>General Laborer, I: Requires little to no related experience.</p> <p>Preferences</p> <p>Perform a wide variety of manual duties that involve physical labor. Responsibilities vary by setting, an may include transporting materials, performing clean-up, hauling, lifting items, and loading and unloading materials. Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
